Not Home for the Holidays

Starting a new job and moving to a new city is fun and stressful.

Everything has been hunky dory with my new job, and living in Kansas City is a new experience every day, but there is one thing that has really been eating at me this time of year…

(and no, it’s not the daily  delivery of brownies and cookies… Contrarily, I’VE been eating THEM).

As you may have noticed, Christmas falls on a WEDNESDAY this year, and unfortunately, I haven’t begun accruing PTO days at work yet. Although I am grateful that I do have a family that I am able to spend Christmas in KC with, it’s not MY family.

So, this blog post is dedicated to the ONE place I wish I was traveling to this week, Mountain Home, Arkansas.

Honestly, wherever my family chose to be, I would like to be traveling to, but it just so happens that they are eating cinnamon rolls, watching A Christmas Story, and curled up in front of the fire place with several cats and a fluffy Pomeranian.

I hope that you can all spend the holidays with those that you love, and know that someone is thinking of you this holiday season!

Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas, Feliz Navidad, Joyeux Noël, Sretan Bozic, En frehlicher Grischtdaag, Buon Natale, and Peace to you and yours 🙂
